A Lovely Antique Find

Good morning, friends!
How are you on this beautiful Wednesday?
I trust you are well.

Believe it or not I don't have a craft or sewing tutorial
and I haven't baked anything in the last week
which means no recipe.
With the Tea Cup and Mug Exchange going on right now
I have been rather preoccupied.
212 beautiful ladies from around the world joined this delightful event
and oh, what a wonderful time we're having!

So today I thought I would show you these precious little butterflies
my husband bought me on Monday.

We were just about to walk out of one of my favorite antique stores
when I looked down and saw these sweet little butterflies sitting on a table.
I had never seen anything like them before
and I must say that it was love at first sight!
Okay, maybe not "love,"
but I did fall for them.

My wonderful husband said right away,
"Get them, honey!"
But instead I put them back and started to walk away.
Then I paused. . . .
and I said to my husband,
"Do you think these butterflies will be one of those items
I regret not bringing home with me?"

He replied with,
"Yes, honey.
Why don't you just bring them over here
so that I can buy them for you"

Oh, what a kind man I married!
He is not into "frou frou" things
{as he calls them}
but he knows I enjoy them.
Something has to really catch my eye before I will give in
and I must confess that these butterflies won my heart.

Have you ever seen something that captured your interest right away?
Did you walk away from it and regret it later on?

I think my husband was right
when he said I would regret not getting these butterfly dishes.
I just love them!

Four things, I think make life worth while,
to love - to hope - to help - to smile!

Friendship is a chain of gold,
Shaped in God's all perfect mold.
Each link - a smile - a laugh - a tear -
A grip of the hands - a word of cheer,
As steadfast as the ages roll,
Binding closer soul to soul -
No matter how far, how heavy the load,
Friendship sweetens the long long road!
- Unknown -

And before I end this post I thought I would share last night's events with you.
Our very sweet neighbors blessed us with an evening on Vail Mountain.
We arrived at the base of the mountain at 8:00 pm
and enjoyed a Gondola ride up.
I grew up skiing and snowboarding on Vail mountain,
but my husband and son have never been skiing there
so it was a delight to be with them for their first Gondola ride.

When we reached the top of the mountain
there was a snowcat waiting for us.
We had the cat all to ourselves
as it took us to the Game Creek Club restaurant.

I am sad to say that I did not take pictures of our meal which consisted of four courses,
but I did take a picture of the last course which was dessert
{the best part, right}.
I enjoyed the chocolate dessert which was a combination of chocolate mousse,
chocolate brownies, and Earl Grey ice cream.
This tasty dessert along with the tall cup of coffee that you see behind my dessert plate
was absolute perfection.

The whole experience was truly amazing
and one we shall not soon forget.
I wish I had more photos to share with you,
but since it was at night the pictures didn't turn out well.

Your visits always bless my heart, sweet friends!
Thanks for stopping by.
Love and hugs!
